Pansexuality as the goal

I’ve recently learned the word “pansexual” means. To be open to have sex or a relationship with any gender. I thought that was bisexuality, but the thing is, bi is only two, male and female. What about all the things in the middle? Like transgender, transexual and all other queer variations. It so happens that the word “bisexual” doesn’t cover them, but “pansexual” does. Almost every time I said “bisexual” in my life, I actually ment “pansexual” or “omnisexual” (which is the same).

I’m really surprised that so many homosexual men believe that bisexuality (or pansexuality) doesn’t exist. For ages I considered pansexuality the ultimate goal of every individual. You see, if I can’t love you and have sex with you, no matter who you are, then I’m missing out.

It’s like food… you know that guy who can eat just about everything. That guy who goes to Asia and Africa and tries everything they put on a plate in front of him. Now, let’s say, you only eat hamburgers. Who do you think is having a better time? Who do you think is enjoying food more?

Now, who do you think enjoys people, sex and relationships more, a straight person or a pansexual person? For me it was obvious, logic and very reasonable: pansexuality is the ultimate goal of every individual’s sex orientation. I was obviously wrong in thinking it’s everybody’s goal like I was wrong in thinking everybody would treat post-op male-to-female transexuals as ordinary females.

It’s still my goal and I am straight, so I’m not defending my position as a pansexual because I’m not and I won’t claim to be one until I have a lot of experience and I’m ok with it. It’s just where I’d like to be.
